A. PURPOSE OF ARCHIVING
The purpose of digital archiving is to maintain the long-term availability of scholarly content published by JIMB and to support the continuity of the journal's academic record.
Archiving activities are intended to reduce the risk of loss of published content, preserve important publication metadata, support recovery where necessary, and maintain reliable access to the journal's scholarly outputs.
B. DIGITAL CONTENT PRESERVED
The journal seeks to preserve relevant publication records, including:
- Published journal issues;
- Full-text published articles;
- Article titles and abstracts;
- Author names and affiliations;
- Keywords and bibliographic metadata;
- Volume, issue, year, and publication information;
- DOI or other persistent identifiers where available;
- Supplementary materials where applicable;
- Correction, retraction, and other publication notices;
- Relevant editorial and publication metadata.
C. DIGITAL JOURNAL PLATFORM
Online Journal Management and Preservation
JIMB manages and disseminates its scholarly content through its official online journal platform. Published issues, articles, metadata, and related publication records are maintained through the journal's digital publishing system to support continued accessibility and preservation.
D. METADATA PRESERVATION
| Bibliographic Metadata
JIMB maintains bibliographic information associated with published articles, including titles, authorship, abstracts, keywords, issue information, and other relevant publication metadata. |
Metadata Interoperability
Structured metadata supports exchange with compatible academic repositories, discovery services, and scholarly information systems. |
E. OAI-PMH METADATA HARVESTING
Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting
JIMB provides journal metadata through OAI-PMH, allowing compatible repositories, aggregators, and scholarly services to harvest metadata. This contributes to metadata redundancy, discoverability, interoperability, and wider scholarly dissemination.
Access JIMB OAI-PMHF. BACKUP AND RECOVERY
JIMB seeks to maintain appropriate backup and recovery procedures for its digital journal records. These procedures are intended to reduce the risk of data loss and support restoration of publication content and metadata if technical problems or other disruptions occur.
G. PRESERVATION OF THE SCHOLARLY RECORD
Published scholarly content should remain part of the journal's permanent publication record. JIMB therefore seeks to preserve the publication history of articles rather than silently removing or replacing previously published material.
Where corrections, retractions, or other editorial actions are necessary, the journal will seek to retain a transparent relationship between the original publication and the relevant notice in accordance with its Retraction, Correction and Withdrawal Policy.
H. CORRECTIONS AND RETRACTIONS IN THE ARCHIVE
When an article requires correction or retraction, the journal seeks to preserve the scholarly record by maintaining appropriate publication notices and clearly identifying the status of the affected article. Retraction does not normally mean silent deletion of the publication record.
I. AUTHOR SELF-ARCHIVING
Authors may archive or disseminate their published work through appropriate institutional, academic, or professional channels in accordance with the journal's applicable Copyright and License Policy. When sharing a published article, authors are encouraged to cite the official JIMB publication and provide the DOI or official article URL where available.
J. CONTINUED ACCESS
| Availability

K. DEVELOPMENT OF PRESERVATION MECHANISMS
