Author Guidelines

A. Focus and Scope

Before submitting, please ensure that your manuscript's topic aligns with the Aims and Scope of the Journal of Business Management Innovation. Manuscripts that fall outside the journal's scope will be desk-rejected during the initial screening.

B. Manuscript Requirements

  1. Language: Manuscripts can be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia. The language must be of a high academic standard, clear, and coherent.

  2. Originality: Submissions must be original, unpublished work and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. All manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism using similarity-checking software.

  3. Initial Formatting: Until an official template is provided, authors are advised to format their manuscript clearly, using a standard font (e.g., Times New Roman, 12 pt), double spacing, and adequate margins.

  4. Manuscript Structure (Research Articles): Research articles should generally be structured in the following sections:

    • Title (in both English and Indonesian)

    • Abstract (in both English and Indonesian, approximately 150-250 words each)

    • Keywords (4-6 words)

    • Introduction

    • Literature Review

    • Research Methods

    • Results and Discussion

    • Conclusion

    • Acknowledgements (if any)

    • References

  5. References: Use the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition style consistently throughout the manuscript. Every in-text citation must be listed in the References, and vice versa.

    • Journal Example: Author, A. A., & Author, B. B. (Year). Title of the article. Journal Name, Volume(Issue), Page range. DOI/URL

    • Book Example: Author, A. A. (Year). Title of the book (Edition). Publisher.

C. Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted online through our Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform at: [click here]

  1. Registration/Login: Authors must first register or log in to the system.

  2. Start Submission: Follow the 5-step submission process in OJS.

  3. Upload Documents:

    • Main Manuscript File: Upload the complete manuscript in MS Word (.docx) or Open Office (.odt) format. The manuscript MUST BE ANONYMIZED for double-blind peer review. Please remove all author names, affiliations, and any identifying information from the manuscript file itself.

    • Cover Letter (Supplementary File): Upload a separate document that includes:

      • The manuscript title.

      • Full names, institutional affiliations, and email addresses of all authors.

      • A statement confirming the manuscript is original, has not been published before, and is not under consideration by another journal.

      • The designated corresponding author.

D. Peer Review Process

The Journal of Business Management Innovation employs a Double-Blind Peer Review system. The identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential. The review process may take up to 12 weeks (3 months). Authors will be notified of the editorial decision via email, which can be:

  • Accept Submission

  • Revisions Required

  • Resubmit for Review

  • Decline Submission

E. Publication Ethics

By submitting a manuscript, authors agree to abide by all of the journal's ethical policies, including statements on Originality, Authorship, Conflicts of Interest, and the Use of Generative AI. Please read our full Publication Ethics policy.

F. Licensing and Copyright

Upon manuscript acceptance, authors will be required to sign a Copyright Transfer and Licensing Agreement. Authors retain copyright to their work and agree to license the published article under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.

G. Publication Fees (APC)

Currently, there are no Article Processing Charges (APCs) for publication in the Journal of Business Management Innovation. The submission, peer-review, and publication processes are entirely FREE of charge.
