Author Guidelines

A. Focus and Scope

Before submitting your manuscript, please ensure that your research topic aligns with the Focus and Scope of the Journal of Public Management Innovation. Manuscripts that fall outside the journal's scope will be rejected during the initial screening phase.

B. Manuscript Requirements

  1. Language: Manuscripts may be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia and must meet academic standards for clarity and coherence.

  2. Originality: Submissions must be original work, have not been published previously, and must not be under review at another journal.

  3. Manuscript Format:

    • Times New Roman font, 12 pt size

    • 1.5 line spacing

    • 2.5 cm margins on all sides

    • .doc or .docx format

  4. Manuscript Structure (For Research Articles):

    • Title (in both Indonesian and English)

    • Abstract (150-250 words) in both Indonesian and English

    • Keywords (4-6 words)

    • Introduction

    • Literature Review

    • Research Methods

    • Results and Discussion

    • Conclusion

    • References

  5. Reference Style:

    • Use APA (American Psychological Association) Style 7th Edition

    • All in-text citations must be listed in the References

    • Reference examples:
      Journal Article:
      Author, A. A., & Author, B. B. (Year). Article title. Journal Name, volume(issue), page range.

      Book:
      Author, A. A. (Year). Book title (edition). Publisher.

C. Submission Process

  1. Registration: Authors must first register as authors in our OJS system

  2. Online Submission: Manuscripts must be submitted through: [Journal OJS URL Address]

  3. Required Documents:

    • Anonymized main manuscript (without author identities)

    • Cover letter stating the manuscript's originality

    • Complete information of all authors (affiliation, email, ORCID if available)

D. Review Process

  1. Review System: Double-blind peer review

  2. Review Timeline: 4-8 weeks

  3. Editorial Decisions:

    • Accepted without revision

    • Accepted with minor revisions

    • Requires major revisions and re-review

    • Rejected

E. Publication Ethics

Authors must adhere to publication ethics codes including:

  • Work originality

  • Data source transparency

  • Proper acknowledgment of others' work

  • Avoidance of conflicts of interest

F. Publication Fees

The Journal of Public Management Innovation does not charge publication fees (APC) for the submission, review, or publication process.

G. Copyright and Licensing

Upon manuscript acceptance, authors will be required to sign a copyright transfer statement and agree to publish the manuscript under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.
